What a source-backed claim means

1. Read the Japanese original

Each comparison row and hotel guide links to Japanese pages published by that property. Our English interpretation identifies the scope of each claim. Other links take you to named room photos, dining, access and live booking details. Day-trip descriptions point to exact provider products. The editorial check date is 17 September 2026.

2. Separate different promises

“Every room,” “selected category,” “hot spring,” “private source,” “free-flowing,” “open-air,” and “semi-open-air” are different claims. A private guide is not a private bath.

3. State the gap

If a page does not state the guest-room flow method, or if open-air form varies by room, we say so. A photograph cannot prove the water source, and a property-wide description may not apply to every room.

4. Recheck the live offer

We do not mirror inventory, rates or cancellation terms. Confirm the named room, photographs, total for your dates, meals, access and cancellation on the provider site before paying.

Our limits

This is desk research, not firsthand inspection of every hotel or tour. Official wording verifies what a property publishes, not the quality of a stay. Pages can change between reviews; we correct or remove outdated claims when found. Photography is credited and captioned by location, but cannot establish the booked room category or bath claim.

Commercial links

Hotel links currently go to official property pages. A tour link becomes an affiliate link only if an issued partner URL is active; that link is labeled. Commission does not change whether a bath claim is reported as known or unstated.
