OnsenCheck Japan is a small independent, source-based guide to a specific Hakone booking question.
Why it exists
“Private bath,” “open-air bath” and “in-room onsen” can describe different purchases. We interpret the hotel's Japanese room and hot-spring statements in English, with the original page beside each conclusion.
What we can claim
We link to the property or provider page and name details we could not verify. This is a check of published specifications, not an inspection or ranking of stay quality. We do not claim to have personally stayed at or photographed every ryokan. Each photograph is credited and captioned. The Kinnotake Tonosawa photograph was taken at that hotel, but its room category is unverified; other scenic photographs are not room evidence.
Who takes the booking?
The hotel or tour provider sets current inventory, price, payment, changes and cancellations. OnsenCheck Japan has no checkout or traveler account.
